Waterjet

The water jet department enables ATI to efficiently fabricate high-quality parts with fewer operational steps, higher sheet yields, and lower costs for the customer.

Water jets use a high pressure stream of water to cut narrow lines through the material. This process is quicker and cleaner than traditional cutting techniques and can hold a tolerance of +/- 0.010. Furthermore, the absence of tooling changes minimizes the risk of human error. In addition to these benefits there is also no delamination, resin melt, or fiber pullout to the finished parts.
